The internet is a massive amount of information all accesible in one place. The internet is a tool that can be used in a variety of ways including; social media, information searching, giving and recieving ideas and much more. The biggest advantage of the internet is connectivity to people all around the world. The internet has made it easy for anyone with a connection to talk and share ideas with people all over the world. The internet is becoming a way for people to not have to interact with each other in the real world. Dating apps have made it easier for two people to talk to each other over the phone but have made human interaction less necessary. Every human needs interaction with other humans and the internet is a way that is beginning to stop that in person interaction. Wikipedia has become the center for people to share their knowledge on the internet and anyone is able to share what they know about a topic. This was the first major information sharing on the internet and is still the main source people use when they want information on a topic. Before the internet people would have to read a book or find someone who knows the topic. Now it takes seconds to find information on almost anything you can think of. The internet is not all good, images, videos and information about drugs, prostitution and sex trafficing are posted on the internet every day. Although a lot are able to be taken down some manage to survive on the dark web. The dark web is a part of the internet that the normal person will ever visit. It is used for illegal activity and is not able to be shut down. This illegal activity goes on every day and the penalties for participating in some of these illegal activities are very harsh. The internet is full of good and bad ideas but that is the point of it, anyone can post anything they want but the consequences will be there. The internet is an important tool that people use every day and it will continue to grow in the future.
